My sister and I decided to take a trip across Switzerland. During our adventure we saw some outstanding sites and gorgeous cities. Here is a roundup of my favorite pictures of our journey through Switzerland.
Bern, the capital of Switzerland and its bears
Aare River that runs through Bern
Lake Geneva aka Lac Leman
Pavilion in Montreaux
Château de Chillon
The castle sits on its own private island over looking Lac Leman/Lake Geneva
Evian Les Bains
Gardens in Evian
Walk down the Evian Funiculaire path
A sleeping duck in Martigny
Gondola up to the Matterhorn
Hiking down the Klein Matterhorn
Dinner in Zermatt
The hills are alive
We ate lunch in this garden on the vineyard property.
Took the Bernina Express from Tirano, Italy to St. Moritz, Switzerland. The train is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the highest point (altitude-wise) the train goes during its entire journey.
Walk around Lake St. Moritz
Nightfall in St. Moritz
Took the Bernina Express to the Diavolezza Mountain in the Engadin Mountain Range to see the 2,000-year-old Morteratsch Glacier.

Lunch at Cafe Hanselmann in St. Moritz
Bye St. Moritz
Kapellbrücke, aka Chapel Bridge, is a wooden footbridge spanning diagonally across the Reuss River in Lucerne. It contains a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century. Sunset on the Reuss River in Lucerne … and our view from dinner.
Mark Twain once said that the Lion Monument is “…the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world.” Dedicated to fallen Swiss soldiers/mercenaries of the French Revolution.
