Check out a Porsche lineup from the 356 to the 911, held in LOCAL Houston’s own gallery space and outside the building – a total of more than 100 cars, from concours to outlaws. There will also be music, food, drinks and a Lucha Libre wrestling exhibition match, as well as a unique art auction. This charity event benefits the Houston Food Bank to aid Hurricane Harvey’s victims, as well as the Snowdrop Foundation, which gives scholarships to children recovering from cancer. HOLOCAUST MUSEUM HOUSTON TAKES OVER TEMPORARY SPACE
As a result of its $49.4 million expansion campaign announcement, Holocaust Museum Houston (HMH) has moved to a temporary location at 9220 Kirby Drive. Features include “Bearing Witness: A Community Remembers,” the museum’s permanent exhibit, and two changing exhibitions, “New Dimensions in Testimony” and “Human Rights Art.” Says Dr. Kelly J. Zuñiga, CEO of the museum, “Our curators have done an amazing job reconfiguring our core exhibit into this new space while adding fresh, interactive exhibitions that provide a framework for students to process the many issues impacting their own lives today – bullying, hatred, discrimination and immigration.”

White Oak Music Hall has named Lyft, the fastest-growing on-demand transportation service in the US, as its exclusive and official rideshare partner, a relationship that brings additional value to event attendees and artists performing at Houston’s premier live music venue. As part of the partnership, Lyft has made a $12,000 donation to the nonprofit group Friends of Little White Oak Bayou, with funds supporting a Hurricane Harvey relief fund established by WOMH to specifically help musicians and other individuals working in the live or recording music industry in Houston who have been impacted by Harvey.
