WHAT: The Houstonian’s Annual Social
WHERE: The Manor House
The Houstonian’s annual Social at the Manor fête on August 16 served up a perfect evening of bubbles, outdoor games and saying so-long to summer. A lavish Veuve Clicquot display, white tables and orange pillows welcomed guests to the event lawn of the historic Manor House. Classic summer white was the breezy attire for the evening and Veuve Clicqout kept guests cool with glasses of yellow label and rose bubbly.
Executive Chef Neal Cox’s presentations of Crab Remoulade, Tempura Snapper Bao and Smoked Pork Belly were paired with Sommelier Vanessa Boyd’s special picks of New Zealand’s Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and ‘Te Wahi’ Central Otago. Guests enjoyed Pastry Chef Catherine Rodriguez’s desserts of Chocolate Chip Meringue, Barbara Bush and Hazelnut Gianduja Cinnamon Cookies, plus Passion Fruit Macaroons, Cream Puffs and Tres Leches Shooters.
