WHAT: re:MIND’s Seventh Annual Help.Hope.Healing. Luncheon
WHERE: River Oaks Country Club
More than 385 mental health advocates, supporters, and friends gathered to celebrate re:MIND’s, formerly Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance Greater Houston, seventh annual Help.Hope.Healing. Luncheon. The event raised more than $336,500 for re:MIND’s life-saving mission to provide free and confidential mental health support groups for individuals living with, and family and friends affected by, depression and bipolar disorders. This year’s luncheon recognized re:MIND’s 15 years of support and service to 3,000 individuals in the Houston area year after year.
re:MIND was grateful to honor Marilyn and Bolivar Andrews and The Hamill Foundation with the Gary Levering Mental Health Impact Award for their unwavering commitment to re:MIND. The Andrews have been loyal re:MIND ambassadors and generous donors for more than a decade. The Hamill Foundation, re:MIND’s most generous foundation partner, was honored for serving as an especially strong and steadfast community advocate for re:MIND’s mission since 2010.
The luncheon featured guest speaker Dr. Sanjay J. Mathew, who shared his ground-breaking research on ketamine to treat depression, revealing and examining first-time discoveries about mental illness.
