Spring is in full swing! From the gorgeous Azaleas blooming all over town to the tinge of light green pollen covering everything in sight!

Saturday March 24 – 25 an annual tradition in the Bayou City Art Festival takes over Memorial Park from 10am–6pm. Produced by Art Colony Association the festival features 19 disciplines of art, 300 artists, food trucks, music, a children’s creative zone and MORE! Tickets are $12 online, $15 at the gate or get them for $10 at Randall’s. This year’s featured artist is Lisa Telling Kattenbraker who unveiled a new piece titled Memories are Now.
We featured The Tony Vega Band in this month’s Fat Finds and they will be at Levy Park from 3-5:30pm (Saturday the 24th) followed by Mango Punch. There will be awesome tunes, food trucks, activities and so much more.
And in keeping with the musical theme, the In Bloom Festival is all weekend. Saturday bands include headliners Beck and Incubus plus tons throughout the day and Sunday sees Queens of the Stone Age and Marin Garrix. Check out the site for tickets and lineups.
Saturday the 24 at 5pm catch some classic futbol with Tigers vs. Chivas de Guadalajara at BBVA Compass Stadium at the Copa de Campeones. It may be sold out, but you can probably still find tickets somewhere or catch the game at a surrounding bar. And the Rockets take on the Atlanta Hawks Sunday the 25th at Toyota.
