Thanksgiving is ONE WEEK AWAY. Whether you’re hosting or being hosted, chances are you want to (have to) bring something. Here are a few ideas that not only support local businesses, but might be a refreshing change.
Let’s start with the bird. Why not change it up? Ragin’ Cajun does a Cajun-style turkey that’s been a family tradition for the Mandola family for generations. Almost 10 years ago they decided to share their fried turkey family bird with customers. Order yours here: http://landing-pages.vdigitalservices.com/ragin-cajun. Available November 1 thru January 1.
Be the life of the party with the perfect cocktail. Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean you have to retire summer drinks. We are LOVING the MALK Mojito! Inspiration? The White Christmas Mojito by Half Baked Harvest. Just follow this recipe:
- Juice of 1 lime
- 8 leaves of mint
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of white rum
- 1 tablespoon of coconut rum
- ¼ cup of Vanilla Almond MALK
- Sparkling water for topping
- Pomegranate and mint garnish
MALK is available locally at Whole Foods, Kroger, HEB, Sprouts and Target.
Décor – from a table runner to turkey towels – can make a festive mood. Local party store Emerson Sloan has you covered from more traditional napkins, to a modern table runner, cute place card holders or Thanksgiving crackers. You have no excuse not to make mom smile with a thoughtful gesture she’s sure to be grateful for.
Make cleanup a breeze for yourself or your host with Mandeville Party Company’s Styrofoam cups. You still have time to get them. Stick to something traditional or get a full belly laugh.
Here’s hoping you gobble ’til you wobble!
